Performance Review: American Patchwork Quartet

This past Sunday, American Patchwork Quartet came to the Weis Center to kick off the Springseason. The musicians worked harmoniously together to create their own spin off of traditionalAmerican folk songs. It was beautiful to see band members of various cultural backgroundscome together to highlight that there is not just one definition of “American”. I enjoyed the blendof traditions and I could tell that the other patrons did as well. Something about the folk tunesand overlays of vocals and instrumental segments gave audience members a sense of comfortand feeling at home. ~Katherine Leschner, Class of 2023

Della Mae to Bring Bluegrass Music to Weis Center Stage

Bluegrass ensemble Della Mae will perform on Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. Seating for the spring 2022 season is socially distanced and general admission; specific seats cannot be reserved. Masks are required. There will be a free artist talk at 1 p.m. on the day of the performance in the Weis Center Atrium. Grammy-winning Chamber Choir to Perform at the Weis Center

Renowned chamber choir The Crossing will perform on Friday, February 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. Seating for the spring 2022 season is socially distanced and general admission; specific seats cannot be reserved. Masks are required. The 65-minute performance, which includes one 15-minute intermission, is sponsored, in part, by Viamedia. Weis Center Kicks Off Spring Season with Performance by American Roots Ensemble

American roots ensemble American Patchwork Quartet (APQ) will perform on Sunday, January 23 at 4 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts.
