Friday night at the Weis Center was truly unforgettable. Houston Ballet II took the stage, and it was amazing to see a crowd of 700–800 people from both Lewisburg and the campus community come together for the performance. The energy in the room was incredible—so many people gathering to experience the beauty of ballet made the night feel even more special.
I especially enjoyed watching the young aspiring dancers in the audience, their faces lighting up with excitement as they took in every movement on stage. Seeing their admiration and wonder was a great reminder of how powerful the arts can be, sparking inspiration in people of all ages.
The dancers’ movements, the stunning costumes, and the music all blended seamlessly to create a breathtaking performance. Of the three pieces—Grand Pas de Deux from Don Quixote, A Dance in the Garden of Mirth, and Sleeping Beauty—the second one was my favorite. There was something so mesmerizing about the way the dancers moved together, their coordination and group effort making every movement feel effortless. It was a true testament to the dedication and hard work that goes into ballet.
By the end of the night, I was completely blown away by what I had just seen. Every moment felt truly special, and I’m grateful to have been part of it.
