Weis Center’s Spring Season Includes 17 Diverse Performances

This spring, the Weis Center will host seventeen diverse performances including music from Venezuela, West Africa, Mexico, and Colombia, plus classical music, Americana and roots music, modern dance, jazz, and family-friendly performances. Four performances are free. Masks are required at all performances. Tickets for spring 2022 performances will go on sale on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, at 10 a.m. by calling 570-577-1000, online at Bucknell.edu/BoxOffice or in-person weekdays 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Campus Box Office’s location in the Weis Center Atrium. The Hot Sardines Will Perform Timeless Classics and Original Tunes to Celebrate the Holiday Season

NYC-based hot swing jazz band The Hot Sardines will perform timeless classics and original tunes on Friday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. Masks are required. The performance is sponsored, in part, by Jazz at Bucknell, Martha and Alan Barrick, and Coldwell Banker Penn One Real Estate. All attendees are asked to bring a canned food item, which will be distributed to local families in need through Union County Children and Youth Services. Pianist Michelle Cann will perform works by Chopin, Florence Price, Brahms and Bonds on Sunday, November 7 at 4 p.m. in the Weis Center Auditorium. Masks are required. Jazz Vocalist and Celebrity Vocal Coach Performs in Free Concert at the Weis Center

Jazz vocalist Jeremiah Abiah will perform on Wednesday, October 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium. Masks are required. The performance is free and tickets are not required. Jeremiah Abiah, better known as ABIAH, is a renowned singer, songwriter, celebrity vocal coach, author and producer. He has recorded for Universal Records, eOne and several international labels. Air Play Returns to Weis Center with Contemporary Cirque Performance Ideal for Ages 4-104

Circus and science collide in a gorgeous homage to the power of air. Flying umbrellas, larger-than-life balloons, giant kites floating over the audience and a huge snow globe will make audience members gasp in wonder and laugh until it hurts.
