Contemporary Dance Comes to the Weis Center

Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE Dance Company will perform on Friday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. There will be a free community movement class with the artists on Thursday, April 7 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium. This engagement of Ronald K. Solo Pianist Performs for Free at Weis Center, Pieces Will Evoke Images of Landscapes or Dream States

Pianist Qing Jiang will perform on Sunday, April 3 at 2 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. The performance is free and tickets are not required. Sonia De Los Santos Brings Family-Friendly World and Folk Music to the Weis Center

Mexican-born singer-songwriter and guitarist Sonia De Los Santos will perform on Saturday, April 2 at 1 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. The performance is suggested for ages 4+. There will be free all-ages kids’ activities sponsored by the Bloomsburg Children’s Museum from 12-1 p.m. in the Atrium. Weis Center receives APAP ArtsForward Grant to Support Micaela Taylor Contemporary Dance Engagement in Fall 2022

The Weis Center for the Performing Arts has received a $50,000 grant from the Association of Performing Arts Professionals as part of its new program, APAP ArtsForward, which supports the performing arts field’s safe, vibrant, and equitable reopening and recovery.  Through the generous support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, APAP ArtsForward awarded $2.065 million to 47 partnerships between presenting organizations and artists. The $50,000 grant will be split 50/50 between Micaela Taylor and the Weis Center. Award-Winning Banjoist, Fiddler and Singer to Perform at Campus Theatre as Part of Weis Center Series

Blount Brings Old-Time Music to New Audiences Traditional folk and roots musician Jake Blount will perform on Wednesday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Campus Theatre, 413 Market Street in downtown Lewisburg. Jazz ensemble Reverso will perform on Tuesday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Weis Center’s Atrium. Reverso presents original compositions that bridge the divide between jazz and chamber music. Circa Contemporary Circus Returns to Weis Center with New Work: Sacre

Australian-based Circa Contemporary Circus will return to the Weis Center on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. They will present a new work called Sacre. Seating for the spring 2022 season is socially distanced and general admission; specific seats cannot be reserved. Masks are required.
