Weis Center Presents Two Family Discovery Performances in March

The Weis Center for the Performing Arts will present two Family Discovery performances in March: The Griegol by Trick of the Light Theatre on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. which is ideal for ages 10+ and Divi Roxx Kids on Saturday, March 11 at 1 p.m. which is ideal for all ages. Weis Center Presents Two Irish Ensembles in March

The Weis Center for the Performing Arts will present two Irish ensembles in March: Danu on Friday, March 3 and Trinity Irish Dance Company on Friday, March 24; both performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Concert Hall. The Danu performance is sponsored, in part, by Asbury Riverwoods. The Lewisburg Children’s Museum will offer free pre-performance activities from 6:30-7:15 p.m. in the Atrium. Activities will include three crafts: Tie-dye shamrocks, Beaded Shamrocks and Celtic Heart Knots. Performance Review: Step Afrika!

To kick off the Weis Center’s Spring 2023 season, Step Afrika!, a traditional stepping company, brought a lively, energetic performance that dazzled audience members of all ages. Beginning with the pre-show talk allowed spectators to gain a better understanding of the traditions of the performance they were about to see. This talk also emphasized the artform’s roots in the community of traditional African American fraternities and sororities. The sense of community carried through during the performance as audience members were involved in chanting and clapping along with the artists. Americana Rock Band Comes to Campus Theatre, Part of Weis Center Series

The Weis Center for the Performing Arts will welcome Millheim-based Americana rock band, The Wicked Chicken, on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Campus Theatre in downtown Lewisburg.   The Wicked Chicken plays a mix of driving rock ’n’ roll, old-time fiddle and blues. Armed with exciting new material, a powerful groove and a unique sound, the Wicked Chicken will surprise and captivate audiences of all varieties. Contemporary Dance Company That Blends Hip-Hop, Breaking, House and Vogue Dance Styles Coming to the Weis Center, Special Rate for Local Youth Dancers

Tuvan Throat Singing Comes to Downtown Lewisburg, Presented by the Weis Center

The Weis Center for the Performing Arts will present Alash on Wednesday, February 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Campus Theatre in downtown Lewisburg. Free Weis Center Tickets for Bucknell Students during Spring Semester

In order to encourage Bucknell University student engagement, tickets to performances on the Weis Center’s Spring 2023 Season will be free of charge. By presenting their BUID at the Weis Center Campus Box Office counter, students can receive one free ticket to the performance. The box office is open from Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and one hour prior to performances.
