Jazz Vocalist and Celebrity Vocal Coach Performs in Free Concert at the Weis Center

Jazz vocalist Jeremiah Abiah will perform on Wednesday, October 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium. Masks are required. The performance is free and tickets are not required. Jeremiah Abiah, better known as ABIAH, is a renowned singer, songwriter, celebrity vocal coach, author and producer. He has recorded for Universal Records, eOne and several international labels. His recent recordings include collaborations with Common, Robert Glasper, August Green, Cynthia Erivo and Brandy.  His recordings include Chasing Forever, Life as a Ballad, Bottles and ABIAH SINGS NINA, which was Grammy nominated. Air Play Returns to Weis Center with Contemporary Cirque Performance Ideal for Ages 4-104

Circus and science collide in a gorgeous homage to the power of air. Flying umbrellas, larger-than-life balloons, giant kites floating over the audience and a huge snow globe will make audience members gasp in wonder and laugh until it hurts. Acrobuffos’ Air Play returns to the Weis Center on Friday, October 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Weis Center Auditorium. Masks are required. The performance is 55 minutes in length with no intermission and is ideal for ages 4-104. Contemporary Indigenous Dance Comes to Weis Center, Performance Inspired by Sky and Star Stories and Features Six Dancers and Live Music

Canadian-based Red Sky Performance will perform their work “Trace” on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts at Bucknell University. There will be a pre-performance talk with Red Sky Performance’s Artistic Director Sandra Laronde on the same day as the performance, from 6:45-7:15 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium. Masks are required. Music and Dance from Bali Comes to the Weis Center in Free Performance, Lecture/Demo Precedes Performance

Çudamani: Gamelan and Dance of Bali will perform on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts at Bucknell University. The performance is free, but tickets are required by calling 570-577-1000 or online at Bucknell.edu/BoxOffice. There will be a pre-performance lecture and demonstration on Tuesday, Sept. 14 from 6:45-7:15 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium facilitated by Music Professor Bethany Collier.
