Orchestra of Indigenous Instruments and New Technologies (OIANT)Concludes Weis Center’s 2025-26 Season

The Weis Center for the Performing Arts wraps up its 2025-26 season with world music ensemble Orchestra of Indigenous Instruments and New Technologies (OIANT) on Friday, April 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center.

This performance is part of the Weis Center’s year-long Trees Series.

Hailed by the international press as “a shamanic orchestra for a technological age”, the Orchestra of Indigenous Instruments and New Technologies (OIANT) brings to life long forgotten indigenous instruments.

Its show Hidden Sounds of the Americas is a musical journey across the continent that blends traditional music and contemporary works.

Through an immersive audiovisual experience, the performance melds ancient sounds to cutting-edge technology, featuring replicas of pre-Hispanic instruments alongside indigenous masks and dances.

The engagement of OIANT is made possible through the Mid Atlantic Tours program of Mid Atlantic Arts with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
