Multi-Award Winning Gaelic Singer Julie Fowlis Comes to the Weis Center, Fowlis is the Voice Behind “Brave” Soundtrack

The Weis Center will welcome Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis on Thursday, October 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Weis Center Concert Hall. Patrons are encouraged to come early for pre-performance music by Sara R. Scott from 6:45-7:15 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium. Sara performs acoustic music on guitar ranging in style and influence from Celtic to Americana, keeping an eclectic and ethereal folk sound. Balkan Brass Comes to the Weis Center, Free Folk Dance Demo Prior to Performance

The Weis Center will welcome Balkan brass band Lemon Bucket Orkestra (LBO) on Thursday, September 29 at 7:30 p.m. in the Weis Center Concert Hall. Patrons are encouraged to come early for a Balkan folk dance demo in the Weis Center Atrium from 6:45-7:15 p.m., facilitated by Heather Almer and Mariya Monfette of the Global Music and Dance Collective. Global Fusion/Brass Band Red Baraat Kicks Off Weis Center’s Season With Free Concert on Renovated Outdoor Plaza

The Weis Center’s 35th Anniversary season will kick-off on Friday, August 26 at 6 p.m. with a free concert by global fusion/brass band Red Baraat on the Weis Center Plaza.
