The Weis Center for the Performing Arts, in collaboration with the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau and the Susquehanna River Arts initiative, will host a free art exhibit and installation featuring the work of ten local artists from Tuesday, April 3 through Friday, May 25 in the Weis Center’s upper atrium lobby. Participating artists will include: Annie Barnhart, Robert Brown, Pete Grimord, Joan Grimord, Gail Fox (image at left), Glen Klein, Abigail Kurecian, Sara Mika, Pam Thomas (image above) and William Whitmoyer. Air Play, a whimsical contemporary cirque performance, will float into the Weis Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. The Family Discovery performance is suggested for ages 5 and older. World musician Joan Soriano will present bachata music from the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Campus Theatre, 413 Market Street, downtown Lewisburg. The Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra will perform renowned classical works by Sibelius, Elgar and Brahms on Friday, February 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center. The Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra (HSO) was founded in 1912 and is one of Sweden’s oldest orchestras.
