Michael Mwenso and the Shakes Bring Jazz/Funk/Soul Fusion to the Weis Center in Free Concert, Danville Hip-Hop Dancers Featured

Michael Mwenso and the Shakes will perform a unique blend of jazz, funk and soul on Tuesday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. The performance is free and tickets are not required. A pre-performance talk with the artists will take place on the same day as the performance at 1 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium. Aizuri Quartet teams up with five rising composers to present new project, Intricate Machines, in free Atrium performance at Weis Center

Internationally-distinguished string quartet, Aizuri Quartet, will present a new project, Intricate Machines, on Sunday, March 31 at 2 p.m. in the Atrium of the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. The performance is free and tickets are not required. General admission seating is first-come, first-seated. Celebrating America’s compositional diversity and talent, Intricate Machines pairs the acclaimed Aizuri Quartet with rising American composers Nina C. Imago Theatre brings family-friendly production, Frogz, to the Weis Center in evening performance and schools matinee

Imago Theatre will bring its kid-friendly production, Frogz, to the Weis Center on Tuesday, February 5 at 7 p.m. at the Weis Center. The family discovery performance is suggested for ages 4 and older. The run time is 1 hour, 25 minutes and includes one 15-minute intermission. The performance is sponsored, in part, by the Public Library for Union County. Popular Children’s Book, The Rainbow Fish, Comes to Life at the Weis Center

Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia will present The Rainbow Fish and two other companion stories, Rainbow Fish Discovers the Deep and Opposites on Saturday, November 3 at 11 a.m. at the Weis Center. The Family Discovery performance is suggested for ages 3-7 and has a run time of 60 minutes without an intermission.
