Philadanco Dance Company Celebrates 50th Anniversary at Weis Center

The Philadelphia Dance Company (PHILADANCO!) will leap onto the Weis Center’s stage on Tuesday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m. as part of their 50th Anniversary celebration.   The performance is sponsored, in part, by Evangelical Community Hospital and PPL Foundation.    A free pre-performance talk by two dancers from the ensemble will take place on the same day as the performance from 1-2 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium. National Geographic Live featuring Professor of Egyptology Comes to Weis Center

Dr. Kathlyn (Kara) Cooney, National Geographic author and professor of Egyptian art and architecture at UCLA, will present “When Women Ruled the World” on Thursday, August 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center. There will be a meet-and-greet with Dr. Cooney in the Weis Center Atrium following her presentation.
