Weis Center Presents Folk/Americana Artist Kaia Kater at the Campus Theatre

Dubbed the “new soul of Americana,” Kaia Kater will perform folk music as part of the Weis Center’s annual season on Wednesday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Campus Theatre, 413 Market Street, downtown Lewisburg. The Guardian describes her as, “Where bluegrass meets Nina Simone.” This performance is sponsored, in part, by Backyard Broadcasting. A Montreal-born Grenadian-Canadian, Kaia Kater grew up between two worlds: her family’s deep ties to folk music and the years she spent soaking up Appalachian music in West Virginia. Bachata Music from the Dominican Republic Coming to Downtown Lewisburg

World musician Joan Soriano will present bachata music from the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Campus Theatre, 413 Market Street, downtown Lewisburg. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early, as free bachata dance lessons will be taught by Jacqueline Cetera at the Campus Theatre from 6:45-7:15 p.m. Cetera is the Director of Residential Education at Bucknell University. Anna and Elizabeth deliver a blend of modern and traditional musical flavors

After a busy and lively first month of performances in our uphill concert venue, female folk duo Anna & Elizabeth took the Campus Theatre stage in downtown Lewisburg at a nearly sold-out show. The duo channels their Appalachian roots and love for traditional music by delivering a modern, Americana twist that captivated the entire venue. These modern arrangements of old, maritime tunes with an interesting visual component create a unique arrangement that tests the limits of this often forgotten yet fundamental genre. Americana Mountain Music Comes to Campus Theatre as part of Weis Center’s season

Americana mountain music will be performed by Anna & Elizabeth on Wednesday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the Campus Theatre, 413 Market Street, downtown Lewisburg. Featured during the performance will be the Bucknell University Choir; Beth Willer will serve as Conductor.
