The Weis Center for the Performing Arts will welcome Okaidja Afroso back to the Weis Center on Tuesday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center. He will present a new project called “Jaku Mumor” that combines African oral tradition, percussion, guitar, dance and native language vocals. The Weis Center for the Performing Arts will present singer-songwriter Alissa Moreno on Friday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium. The performance is free and tickets are not required. The performance is co-sponsored with Bucknell Music Department Gallery Series. Alissa Moreno was born on a small Navajo reservation, grew up in Albuquerque, N.M., and studied vocal composition and performance at the College of Santa Fe.
