Australian Contemporary Circus Company comes to Weis Center

Circa, a contemporary circus/cirque ensemble from Australia, will perform on Tuesday, March 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. The Family Discovery performance is suggested for ages 12 and older and has a run time of 85 minutes without an intermission. Since 2004, Circa has been at the frontier of a new vision of circus arts by creating powerful works that challenge, thrill and delight. Boston’s Lorelei Ensemble Showcases Early and Contemporary Vocal Repertoire for Women’s Voices

Lorelei Ensemble, an ensemble of nine women who are committed to expanding the repertoire for women’s voices, will perform on Thursday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. Popular Book, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Comes to Life as a Musical on Weis Center Stage

  The popular children’s book, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, will come to life as a musical on the Weis Center stage on Thursday, February 22 at 7 p.m. at the Weis Center. The Family Discovery performance is ideal for ages 4 and above and is 60 minutes, without an intermission. There will be a pre-performance talk with the artists from 1-2 p.m. in the Weis Center Atrium Lobby the same day as the performance. Bachata Music from the Dominican Republic Coming to Downtown Lewisburg

World musician Joan Soriano will present bachata music from the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, February 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Campus Theatre, 413 Market Street, downtown Lewisburg. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early, as free bachata dance lessons will be taught by Jacqueline Cetera at the Campus Theatre from 6:45-7:15 p.m. Cetera is the Director of Residential Education at Bucknell University. Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra to Present Works by Sibelius, Elgar and Brahms

The Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra will perform renowned classical works by Sibelius, Elgar and Brahms on Friday, February 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center. The Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra (HSO) was founded in 1912 and is one of Sweden’s oldest orchestras.
