String Quartet Coming to the Weis Center: Works by Dvorak, Bartok, and Schumann to be Performed

The Weis Center for the Performing Arts will welcome classical ensemble Quartetto di Cremona on Sunday, November 3 at 4 p.m. at the Weis Center. The performance is sponsored, in part, by Service 1st Federal Credit Union and Sam and Nancy Craig. Winner of the 2019 Franco Buitoni Award, Quartetto di Cremona is among the world’s preeminent string quartets, noted for its lustrous sound, refined musicianship and stylistic versatility. RUBBERBAND Coming to Weis Center

The Weis Center for the Performing Arts will welcome Contemporary Dance ensemble RUBBERBAND and their work “Ever So Slightly” on Tuesday, October 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center. Master of the Mandolin Opens Weis Center’s New Season on Sept. 13

The Weis Center for the Performing Arts will kick-off its new season with bluegrass music by Sierra Hull on Friday, September 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Weis Center. The performance is sponsored, in part, by WNEP and the Columbia Montour Visitors Bureau. Sierra Hull is widely regarded as a master of the mandolin. Weis Center Announces 2024-25 Season that Includes 23 Professional Performances

The 2024-25 season at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts includes 23 professional performances – including world music, classical, contemporary cirque, Americana/bluegrass music, modern dance, and jazz. When patrons return in the fall, they will notice a revitalization to the Atrium. This summer, the Weis Center’s HVAC and architectural lighting systems are being updated with new LED lighting and energy-efficient heating and cooling systems to align with the university’s sustainability practices. Aizuri Quartet teams up with five rising composers to present new project, Intricate Machines, in free Atrium performance at Weis Center

Internationally-distinguished string quartet, Aizuri Quartet, will present a new project, Intricate Machines, on Sunday, March 31 at 2 p.m. in the Atrium of the Weis Center for the Performing Arts. The performance is free and tickets are not required. General admission seating is first-come, first-seated. Performance Review: David Power and Willie Kelly Bring Traditional Irish Music to Weis Center Atrium
